The D&AD Student Awards 2008 go live this week with a fresh set of design and advertising briefs written by some of the world’s leading creatives and business professionals.
At the grand old age of 30, the Student Yellow Pencil remains one of the toughest student awards to win and one of the best first steps to a career in advertising and design: as proven in the highly competitive D&AD Student Awards 2007.
“We’ve all heard the cliche: if you don’t enter, you can’t win. But what’s more important – if you don’t enter, how will you know just how good you are?” said D&AD President Simon Waterfall.
This year, entrants will have the opportunity to design a new mobile handset for Orange; establish brand presence for Virgin Atlantic Airways; design a range of sustainable packaging for Ted Baker merchandise; and help Nando’s spread the ‘Spirit of Peri-Peri’ through viral advertising.
D&AD will accept entries from students from 14 January – 20 March 2008. Winners will be announced in June 2008.
